Shanghai Airlines was founded in December 1985. In May 2010, Shanghai Airlines merged with China Eastern Airlines, officially becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines. At present, Shanghai Airlines operates a modern fleet of over 90 aircrafts flying over 150 routes, giving access to more than 90 cities in Mainland China and abroad and forming a hub-and-spoke flight network structure with a base in Shanghai, China.
