Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) is the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and one of the Middle East’s largest airlines. SAUDIA started out in 1945 with a single twin-engine DC-3 (Dakota). On May 29th, 2012, SAUDIA is proudly joined the SKYTEAM alliance, granting SAUDIA’s Guests access to over 1,000 travel destinations in more than 170 countries. SAUDIA’s main operational base is at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

Team Shine Forever

Under SAUDIA’s CEO sponsorship, a Green Team of 100 members has been initiated from 10 different divisions within SAUDIA and other strategic business units. The Green Team has adopted the objective of the TAC and accordingly, a detailed work plan was developed with clear and specific tasks for each stakeholder and dependency in order to achieve the goals set for this challenge, with a predefined communication and well contribution to ensure a timely progression for the assigned tasks. SAUDIA Green team will be a key driver for all sustainability initiatives taking place in the future and will contribute in shaping the future of sustainable SAUDIA.
