China Eastern

Headquartered in Shanghai, China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. (CEA) is one of the three major airlines in China and could be traced back to the first squadron established in Shanghai in January 1957, and is the first Chinese airline to be listed on New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai stock markets. As a member of SkyTeam Alliance, China Eastern is always committed to fulfill its social responsibility and takes an active part in humanitarian and relief missions for passengers and freight transport. China Eastern has been conducting fixed-point poverty alleviation in Shuangjiang County and Cangyuan County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province through aviation support and industrial development for several years, so as to help two counties shake off poverty and push forward rural revitalization. China Eastern achieved 2 million tons of carbon emissions reduction during the past few years and steps up efforts to implement “Energy saving Carbon reduction Green flight” strategy so as to make a better and greener world. China Eastern has successfully launched the first carbon-neutral-in-whole-life-cycle flight in China.
